If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.
This quiet route is ideal for spotting local wildlife as well as evidence of industrial and social history. The route follows an old tramway that runs from Penderyn to Hirwaun which linked the limestone quarry to the ironworks.
The route has a gentle compacted stone surface, but it can get muddy in places after long spells of rain. There are also anti-motorcycle barriers at either end of the trail and at points along the trail. The Penderyn Quarry Line leaflet contains details on wildlife and historical features.
